#104. Is Neuropathy Fatal? If Not, Why Not?

Peripheral Neuropathy derives from a parasite

And as every other parasite, it only take what it needs to feed. The short answer; humans tolerate the bacteria and do not succumb to Neuropathy.

However, the question over survivability looms from the energy lose to the obscure parasite and it’s a reasonable one. Small colonies have a negligible impact while large one leave the host look like death warmed up.

Neuropathy impairs mobility

Energy deficiency makes motion slower than slow and to survive Neuropathy is best to stay out of way. At Neuropathy speed, the world runs us over.
From our experience with Neuropathy, a story that comes to mind is this; on the forth year into Neuropathy we intended to make progress and abandon the walker.

After two weeks of practice with less and less of the walker, we aspired to visit a horse farm. Horses, amongst species are the-one-and-only noble ones and nobility is health. All it takes is to stand there and nobility rubs-on. The smell of horse-manure and those lovely eyes, are treasures.

Almost at the farm, we had to walk along and cross the rural-road. In Neuropathy speed, the walk took more than an hour.

Neuropathy walking is dangerously slow

On rural roads there is no coming or going but ironically we manage to stop traffic. We made it across the road and were about to go up the sidewalk when a car arrived and driver, stopped to watch.

She noticed the slowness.
“I will drive you, where you’re going” she said.
“Thank you madame, we don’t need help.”
“You must be… joking” she said.
“We arrived, where we were going,” pointing to the farm.

Eventually she understood and watched us walk away in probably the slowest walk she had ever seen.
Mobility was that poor and anything could have run us over.

Neuropathy could be perilous, by just standing there but to survive it, one has to be mindful that normal people are fast. However, take heart, Neuropathy is destructible and life turns back to normal.
