#106. Why does Neuropathy lasts extraordinary long?

Neuropathy can lasts a hundred years

This post is for the inconceivable but true coexistence with Neuropathy.
The topic which often comes up in conversation is; lifespan with Neuropathy.
As bad as Neuropathy can get, do not give up hope because just as well, one could live with it, to be a hundred.

We talked to a World-War-Two veteran, about “those war days” and while at it, noticed markers of Neuropathy on his feet.

Parasitic plagues are contagious and it was possible that the veteran acquired it far back in childhood.
Although the lifespan of the parasite is unknown, its progenies can persists in perpetuity.

When we discovered that Neuropathy was destructible, we also learned that the parasite dwelled on us for years.

Same old markers of Neuropathy

Pins-and-needles, swollen feet and dull ache in the shoulder were markers of Neuropathy we felt for years and never knew what they were. Worst yet, markers of the parasite were assumed to be related to injuries.

While in search and destroy mode, it become apparent that those areas hosted long-lived-colonies.

An unruffled parasite remain unrecognized and only in rare occasions collide with the host.
